I, Heather, am addicted to YouTube. Ok, there. I said it. It feels good to have it off my chest. Some of my very favorite ‘beauty gurus’ to watch are from the UK, and thus, they use many products that are exclusively available there. On my recent trip to Northern Ireland, I picked up a few items at the drugstore that I have seen used more than a few times and wanted to give a go for myself. Now, I didn’t remember picking up so much stuff, until I started listing it… So here goes my haul!
The first item is a Rimmel Lasting finish Soft Color Blush in the shade 010 Santa Rose. The shade is a sheer natural coral/pink color that I hope will complement my pale complexion. To date, the only Bourjois product in my repertoire is the Healthy Mix Serum Foundation. It has a delicious fruity scent, and light even coverage. I was excited to try more from the brand, and see what they had to offer. I purchased the Bourjois Colorband 2-in-1 Color and Liner in the shade mauve, Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, in the shade 52 Vanilla, the Bronzing Powder and Hilighter duo, and the Healthy Balance Matte Powder, in the shade 52 Vanilla. Having oily skin, I always take the opportunity to try any and every mattifying product I can get my hands on! The next range I explored was Collection. The Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer is a cult favorite, so I picked it up in the lightest shade, Fair 1. There have been rumors that it is a dupe for the infamous Nars Radiant Creamy Concealear, but we’ll see about that. Additionally, I purchased the Collection Fast Stroke liquid eyeliner in black, and the Eyes Uncovered Nude Palette, consisting of six beautiful neutral shades, reminiscent of the Naked Basics palette. Now, we all know Tanya Burr rules Youtube (and most of the world), so I picked up two of her recent products. In the spirit of trying new things, I picked up a set of the Tanya Burr Individual False Lashes to give a try, as well as a lipgloss in the shade Chic, a peachy pinky nude color. As if I don’t have enough nail polish, I got three more springy Gelly Polishes from Barry M in the colors Huckleburry, Rose Hip, and Lychee. Soap and Glory has a limited range available in the states, but I have not been able to find these next two things here. Soap and Glory Solar Powder in the shade Bronzo and the One Heck of a Blot powder in translucent. Now, onto the non-makeup portion of this lengthy haul. I purchased the Colab Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo in the London scent, and a travel size in the New York scent, to keep in my purse. As a proclaimed dupe for Bioderma, the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water was next on my list. The final item in my haul is definitely going to come in handy, the Zoella Beauty Eyes Beauty Bag will be used to store all my recent purchases.
Is there anything I missed? What are your favorite drugstore products at the moment?
